LEWIS LYMON &THE TEENCHORDS
LEWIS LYMON, directamente influenciado por el masivo éxito de su hermano, Frankie Lymon, montó su propia banda de doo-wop, que pronto consiguió un jugoso contrato discográfico aunque finalmente sus singles no cumplieran las expectativas comerciales depositados en ellos.
Durante su breve carrera, entre 1957 y 1959, LEWIS LYMON, acompañado de los TEENCHORDS, fracasó en su intento de rentabilizar la fama de su hermano, pero este "YOUR LAST CHANCE", de finales de 1957, es una maravillosa canción de doo wop que todavía no comprendo como no llegó a ser un éxito.
Durante los años 60, se retiró de la música e ingreso en el ejército. Aunque en 1970, tras la muerte de su hermano, regresó al circuito "oldie", manteniendo el tipo gracias a los sucesivos conatos de revival du-dua que se han ido sucediendo a lo largo de las siguientes decadas...by kinkman

The Mello-Kings
The Mello-Kings fueron una maravilla en el mundo del doo-wop, recordados por su , “Tonite, Tonite.” Eran un grupo vocal blanco de Mt. Vernon, un suburbio de la clase obrera de New York City, situado en el condado de Westchester apenas al norte del Bronx. Conducido por Robert Scholl, Bob Scholl (B. el 14 Jul de 1938 en Mt. Vernon, NY), los otros miembros incluyó a su hermano Jerry Scholl, Ed Quinn, Neil Arena, y Larry Esposito, todos estudiantes de George Washington High.

Sam Stray
Sam Stray,natural de Brooklyn, Nueva York creció en los años 50 desarrollando un amor para la música muy temprano . Grupos tales como Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, The Moonglows, The Cadillacs, The Valentines, y Elvis Presley cautivaron su corazón y le inspiraron a que escribiera su primera canción con tan solo 13 años. La pasion de Sam por aquella musica aun sigue hoy en dia.

The Bell Notes
Formados en East Meadow, New York, USA,en los últimos 50s, The Bell Notes fueron un one-hit rock con "I've Had It" en el Top 10 en 1959. El grupo consistió en el vocalista y saxofonista Carl Bonura, Ray Ceroni vocalista y guitarrista, bajista Lenny Giamblavo, pianista Pete Kane y bateria John Casey.
Un interesante grupo de Rock&roll.

THE ECHOES
“THE ECHOES” eran un grupo de la gran ciudad de Nueva York, Brooklyn. Dos profesores de Brooklyn escribieron una canción llamada “Baby blue” en el '59 y THE ECHOES registran esto en una tarde del '60 como “como doowop - cha-cha”.

Johnny Maestro and The Crests
Surgidos de uno de los High School de Manhattan, Los Crests fueron descubiertos en el metro mientras hacían sonar sus gargantas aprovechando la acústica de los pasillos subterráneos. Sus miembros iniciales fueron Patricia Van Dross, Harold Torres, Talmadge Gough y J.T. Carter, a quienes poco después se les uniría Johnny Maestro, el único blanco del grupo, que acabó convirtiéndose en el cantante principal de Los Crests. Las dotes vocales del gran Johnny Maestro resultaron ser una de las claves del éxito que Los Crests alcanzaron en los años venideros. Y es que la voz de Johnny era a la vez contundente y dúctil, interpretando con maestría (nunca mejor dicho) tanto las baladas como los doo wop uptempo.
